The Sandman is where your dream shards turn into power. Every visit offers a mix of small, cheap boosts and a few expensive upgrades that can change a run, and knowing the exact prices makes it much easier to decide whether to spend now or save for the next visit. All numbers on this page were read directly from the game's data files (the October 2026 build, after Update 6), so they are the real base prices, not estimates.
Dream shards are the only currency
Everything at the Sandman costs dream shards. Buying an offer takes the price from your shard count, and the offer disappears from the shop. Shards belong to each hero, so in co-op every player shops with their own.
The ten powerups and their base prices
The Sandman's own powerups come in three tiers.
Minor (cheap, always on offer)
| Powerup | Base price |
|---|---|
| Heal | 50 |
| Reroll | 50 |
| Shield | 75 |
| Strength | 75 |
There are exactly four minor powerups and the shop fills four minor slots, so every visit offers all four. The Reroll is the same one that can turn up at wishing wells and from Aladdin, which makes 50 shards the cheapest dependable way to fish for a better choice.
Medium
| Powerup | Base price |
|---|---|
| Duplicate a Common object | 100 |
| Duplicate an object | 150 |
| Duplicate a Rare object | 200 |
| Upgrade 2 talents | 200 |
Major
| Powerup | Base price |
|---|---|
| Duplicate an Epic object | 250 |
| Upgrade a talent to Legendary | 250 |
The medium and major tiers only show some of their options on each visit, so do not count on a specific one being there.
Magical objects for sale
Besides its own powerups, the Sandman also rolls magical objects. According to the shop's settings:
- the medium object slot rolls Common or Rare objects, with even odds;
- the major object slot rolls Epic (50%), Legendary (25%) or Cursed (25%) objects.
So the major object slot is a real shot at a Legendary object, with an equal risk of it being Cursed instead.
How to pay less
Every price in the shop is the base price multiplied by up to three factors, then rounded to a whole number:
- effects that reduce all dream shard prices, which apply here as everywhere else;
- effects that reduce Sandman prices, which apply only in this shop;
- run modifiers that change dream shard costs, which scale every price in the shop up or down.
These factors multiply rather than add. A 20% general discount together with a 20% Sandman discount gives 0.8 × 0.8 = 0.64 of the price, a 36% discount, not 40%. It is still a good deal, just slightly less than the two numbers suggest. Check the run modifiers before planning a shard-heavy build, because a cost modifier changes every line in the tables above.
Spending tips
- Heal and Shield are insurance. At 50 and 75 they are cheap enough to buy before a boss even when you feel fine.
- Strength scales everything. Strength sits in its own damage bracket and multiplies with Attack power (see our guide on how damage works), so the 75-shard Strength powerup is often better value than it looks.
- Duplicates double down. If your build already leans on one magical object, duplicating it is usually stronger than a random new object of the same rarity.
- Save for the major tier when your build is set. Upgrading a core talent to Legendary can be the single biggest jump in a run.
- Use the Reroll on bad rolls, not good ones. Fifty shards is cheap, but it is still 50 shards that could go toward the next upgrade.
Prices can change with patches. If you want to try different prices or offers yourself, the Sandman shop is editable with Ravenswatch Mod Manager, and a restore puts the original shop back.
